U.S. Rep. Clark to appear at May 22 HATS meeting

The Hanscom Area Towns Committee (HATS) has announced that Congresswoman Katherine Clark will appear at the HATS meeting on Thursday, May 22 starting at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the Lincoln Town Offices’ in the Donaldson Room. The meeting will be open to the public and will be televised on Lincoln local access channels.

Clark represents the Massachusetts 5th Congressional District, which includes Lincoln and Lexington. In December 2013, she was elected to Congress to fill the vacancy created by Edward Markey’s election as U.S. Senator.

HATS is a vehicle for communication and cooperation among the towns of Lincoln, Concord, Bedford, and Lexington on matters of common interest such as development, land use, and traffic, with a primary focus on Hanscom Air Force Base and Hanscom Air Field. The voting members of the HATS Board consist of a Selectman from each town.

Since Congresswoman Clark’s State legislative districts did not include Lincoln or Lexington, HATS is pleased to provide an opportunity for her and our community to become more acquainted. We anticipate that she will provide general comments on such matters as her governing philosophy and style, her legislative priorities, and her experience in Washington so far. We also hope to have time to engage in general dialogue with her regarding Hanscom and other matters of interest to HATS, including questions from the audience as appropriate.
