Jennifer Saffran says
This is so necessary. Decades ago, I happened to have a Sunday School teacher who was also a school psychologists. Informally, she began talking about teen dating violence, telling us how to recognize the signs, starting with controlling attention, etc. Later, I dated someone who began to display all the behaviors she talked about. I ended the relationship. Many years later, accidentally finding this person via social media, I saw that he and his first wife had divorced. I also saw that she filed a restraining order a year after the divorce. This matched what I’d later learned–the most dangerous time for a woman is pregnancy and/or immediately after a break up. Because I had listened to this teacher that day, I was saved from a similar, dangerous future.
