Police log for February 16–28, 2023

February 16

Horseshoe Lane (11:31 a.m.) — A resident requested assistance from the Fire Department for an outdoor fire that grew out of control. A short time later, the Fire Department response was cancelled after the resident was able to extinguish the fire on their own.

Lincoln Town Hall (12:55 p.m.) — An officer was requested to assist individual who appeared confused. The officer was able to make contact with the individual at their residence. Everything was fine.

Silver Hill Road (3:13 p.m.) — A caller reported a white sedan in the area with an operator who appeared to be looking at packages left at residences. An officer checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicle. The residential packages appeared undisturbed.

Wells Road (5:12 p.m.) — An officer spoke with a resident regarding a property in another jurisdiction.

February 17

Harvest Circle (1:49 p.m.) — A resident spoke to an officer about a potential internet scam.

February 18

North Commons (8:58 a.m.) — Missing person with Alzheimer’s reported and later found in Lexington (click here for details).

Indian Camp Lane (12:28 p.m.) — A well-being check was requested from an out-of-town relative on a resident who had not been heard from for several days. An officer responded to the residence and made contact with the individual.

Meadowbrook Road (5:53 p.m.) — A resident called reporting what looked like an out-of-control outdoor fire. The Fire Department responded and confirmed the outdoor cooking fire was under control.

February 19

Cambridge Turnpike eastbound (1:42 a.m.) — An officer checked on a vehicle stopped on the side of Route 2. The operator was tending to their child in the backseat.

Winter Street (7:05 p.m.) — A caller reported hearing a buzzing sound coming from a fire panel. The Fire Department responded and confirmed a trouble alert with the alarm system.

Lincoln Road (10:25 a.m.) — A resident reported the odor of smoke in the area. The Fire Department responded and confirmed an unauthorized outdoor burn was occurring on Linway Road.

February 20

Wells Road (5:45 p.m.) — A caller reported a possible brush fire behind their residence. The fire was determined to be an outdoor fire pit and the resident was advised to extinguish the fire.

Wells Road (8:16 p.m.) — A caller reported a possible issue with their heating system. The Fire Department responded to assist.

February 21

Cambridge Turnpike eastbound at Bedford Road (7:05 a.m.) — Two-vehicle crash. One occupant was transported to Emerson Hospital with minor injuries.

Cambridge Turnpike eastbound (8:35 a.m.) — A 911 caller reported a two-vehicle crash by mile marker 126. The other vehicle involved in the crash did not remain on scene.

February 22

Lincoln Public Library (11:06 a.m.) — Officers were called to deal with an individual who had previously trespassed on the property. Officers escorted the person from the property without incident.

The Commons of Lincoln (6:04 p.m.) — A resident asked to speak to an officer about a possible theft of money. An officer responded and spoke with staff and the resident.

Pierce House (7:15 p.m.) — An officer conducted a well-being check on an individual at the Pierce House. The individual was fine.

South Great Road (10:29 p.m.) — A caller reported a one-car crash near Bowles Terrace. A pickup truck had struck a utility pole after losing control of the vehicle. The passenger of the vehicle was transported to Emerson Hospital with minor injuries.

Virginia Road (11:02 p.m.) — Concord Police requested assistance checking the area of Virginia Road for a vehicle operating erratically. The area was checked but the vehicle was not found.

Lincoln Road (11:24 p.m.) — An officer discovered that the railroad gates on Lincoln Road appeared to be malfunctioning. The officer remained in the area and Keolis was requested to respond.

February 23

Lincoln Gas and Auto, South Great Road (6:22 a.m.) — The DPW asked an officer to speak to the plow operator responsible for the Lincoln Gas and Auto. The officer contacted the property owner and advised they tell the plow company not to push snow onto Route 117.

Tower Road at Stonehedge Road (10:12 a.m.) — An officer responded to assist at a minor two-vehicle crash.

Round Hill Road (1:53 a.m.) — A resident called saying that a gas-powered light pole had been knocked over by a garbage truck. The Fire Department responded as well as National Grid.

Red Rail Farm (6:2 p.m.) — A well-being check was requested. An officer responded and determined the individual was ok.

Cambridge Turnpike westbound (10:23 p.m.) — The Fire Department responded for mutual aid at a 12-vehicle crash.

February 24

Horseshoe Lane (2:58 a.m.) — A resident called to report a barking dog in the area. The area was checked by a responding officer who heard no dog sounds.

Lincoln Road (7:14 a.m.) — A vehicle traveling on Lincoln Road was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop at the stop sign at Codman Road. An occupant of the vehicle on Lincoln Road was subsequently transported to Emerson Hospital via the Lincoln ambulance for minor injuries. The operator of the vehicle travelling on Codman Road was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.

Old County Road (8:41 a.m.) — One-car crash. The occupant of the vehicle was transported to the police station to make transportation arrangements and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Silver Birch Lane (4:57 p.m.) — A caller reported that a dog had been barking in the area. An officer responded to the scene and asked the owner of the dog to retrieve it from outside when it begins to bark. The Animal Control Officer was aware of the incident.

Lexington Road (11:42 p.m.) — A caller reported seeing a vehicle stop in front of a residence and then several individuals got out of the vehicle and ran toward the residence. The caller yelled to the occupants of the vehicle, who appeared to reverse direction and return to the vehicle. The vehicle then fled from the area. Officers conducted a check of the area but were unable to locate it.

February 25

South Great Road (12:56 a.m.) — An officer checked on an occupied parked vehicle at the Mt. Misery parking lot. The operator left the area shortly thereafter.

February 26

Nothing of note.

February 27

Concord Road (6:02 p.m.) — A caller reported seeing a dead deer on the side of the road. An officer responded and confirmed that the deer was dead. The DPW was notified.

Lewis Street (7:51 a.m.) — The deer from the previous call was in fact not yet deceased. The animal was severely injured and needed to be put down. An officer responded to the DPW and dispatched the deer.

South Great Road (5:57 p.m.) — A motorist was traveling on Route 117 eastbound when a deer entered the roadway and struck the vehicle, causing some damage to the front end. The deer died as a result of the collision. The deer was removed to the side of the road and the DPW was notified.

February 28

South Great Road (9:09 a.m.) — For approximately 45 minutes, the railroad gates at Route 117 and at Lincoln Road were malfunctioning. Officers responded to both locations and facilitated traffic through until Keolis arrived and resolved the malfunction.

Lincoln Road (6:36 p.m.) — A caller reported a loose dog in the area of the Town Hall. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

Old County Road (8:09 p.m.) — One-car crash. The operator of the vehicle was transported to the station to make transportation arrangements and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Missing man found after large-scale search

A North Commons resident with Alzheimer’s who disappeared from his North Commons home on February 18 was safely located about two hours after a town-wide alert went out via phone and text.

Lincoln police and firefighters were notified at 8:30 a.m. that David Myer, 79, had gone missing. About 50 officers and firefighters from area towns set up a command post and swung into action with ATVs, mountain bicycles, and on foot. Also involved in the search were a Massachusetts State Police helicopter, Minute Man National Historic Park officers, Lincoln’s Conservation Ranger, and even the Lincoln Fire Department’s new public safety drone operated by a Lincoln firefighter who is an FAA-certified drone pilot.

At about 1:30 p.m., staff at a soup kitchen at the Church of Our Redeemer on Merriam St. in Lexington alerted authorities that they had Myers, who had apparently walked there, Lincoln Fire Chief Brian Young said. He had an abrasion on his head and was transported to the hospital by Lexington ambulance.

Indian Camp Lane (11:51 a.m.) — A well-being check was requested. Police made contact with the individual.

February 3

Minuteman Technical High School (2:38 p.m.) — Minor two-vehicle crash in school parking lot. No injuries were reported. An officer assisted both motorists with exchanging information.

Lincoln Road (8:38 p.m.) — Multiple callers reported that the railroad gates were stuck in the down position. The MBTA was notified.

February 4

St. Anne’s Church, Concord Road (9:04 a.m.) — A broken sprinkler head was reported. The Fire Department responded and maintenance was notified. 

Silver Birch Lane (8:53 p.m.) — A caller reported that their neighbor’s dog had been barking for the past three hours. An officer responded to the area and heard nothing for 15 minutes. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

Codman Road (9:22 p.m.) — An individual came into the police station after getting off the train earlier than expected. An officer spoke to them to make sure everything was OK.

February 5

South Great Road (12:18 a.m.) — A caller reported hearing approximately 10 gunshots. Officers from Lincoln and Concord conducted an extensive check of the area and side streets but did not discover anything out of the ordinary. 

Hawthorne Circle (2:40 a.m.) — A caller reported possible suspicious activity at a residence. An officer checked the area and discovered nothing out of the ordinary. 

February 6

Gerard’s Farm Stand, Route 2 (9:51 a.m.) — On February 4, a package delivered by a FedEx driver was stolen from Gerard’s Farm Stand. Two hours after the delivery, a male suspect with a shaved head and beard, wearing eyeglasses, a light blue/gray hooded winter coat and light colored pants, was seen walking around the farm stand. It is believed that this individual removed the package from the property. An investigation is ongoing.

Airport Road (12:32 p.m.) — A police officer was asked to stand by while a person retrieved some items. 

North Great Road (6:35 p.m.) — The Fire Department responded to the comfort station located by the Hartwell Tavern for a water main break and provided additional assistance at 9:58 p.m.

Lincoln Road (6:43 p.m.) — The Fire Department was dispatched to a residence for a water main break and later provided additional assistance at 7:33 p.m.

February 7

10:43 a.m. — The Fire Department was mobilized for District 14 coverage related to nine-alarm fire in Brockton.

February 8

Birchwood Lane (9:08 a.m.) — An officer spoke to a resident regarding potential fraudulent transactions. 

Lincoln Road (11:09 a.m.) — An officer checked on a motorist in the commuter lot. 

Weston Road (4:01 p.m.) — A resident asked to speak to an officer regarding an ongoing situation. 

February 9

Indian Camp Lane (10:00 a.m.) — An officer assisted an individual with a well-being check. 

Sandy Pond Road (11:04 a.m.) — The town Conservation Ranger reported an incident with an individual walking too many dogs on conservation trails. 

South Great Road near Tower Road (3:47 p.m.) — A caller reported locating two goats. Animal Control was notified.

Lincoln Road (4:04 p.m.) — A resident asked to speak to an officer regarding several firearms that were being turned over for destruction. 

February 10

(12:20 p.m.) — A well-being check was requested for a resident. Contact was made by a responding officer.   

Cambridge Turnpike westbound (7:24 p.m.) — A motorist was lost and required directions.

February 11

Concord Road (12:24 p.m.) — A caller reported a suspicious motor vehicle parked at the end of their driveway. The vehicle was gone on the officer’s arrival. 

Tower Road (5:34 p.m.) — The Fire Department was asked to investigate an odor of gas. They determined that there was an issue with the stove. 

Lincoln Road post office (7:17 p.m.) — An individual reported that a mail truck parked at the mall appeared to have its hazard lights on. An officer responded and discovered the truck’s lights were malfunctioning. Post office staff were notified.

February 12

Goose Pond Road (7:23 p.m.) — A caller reported damage to their mailbox. Several other mailboxes on Goose Pond Road, Deer Run, and Sandy Pond Road also were damaged. An investigation is ongoing. 

Liberty Lane, Hanscom AFB (10:38 a.m.) — Officers assisted Hanscom Security Forces with a domestic assault and battery. 

Huckleberry Hill (3:39 p.m.) — A caller requested police assistance with a suspicious motor vehicle that may have followed them from Concord. 

February 13

Old County Road (6:43 p.m.) — A motorist reported that their vehicle had been struck by a deer. 

Beaver Pond Road (12:10 p.m.) — A resident reported that a delivery van had caused minor damage to their lawn. 

Lincoln Road (1:34 p.m.) — An officer helped a pedestrian across the street.

February 14

Lowell Road, Concord (10:32 a.m.) — The Lincoln Police and Fire Departments responded to the Middlesex School in Concord to assist with a confirmed phone call hoax. 

Huckleberry Hill (12:26 p.m.) — A resident called to report a suspicious item had been left behind by an unknown individual.

Ridge Road (5:44 p.m.) — A caller located an empty box by the side of the road that had contained two cell phones.

Silver Birch Lane (7:43 p.m.) — A caller reported that their neighbor’s dog had been barking for the past three hours. An officer responded to the area and heard nothing for 15 minutes. The Animal Control Officer was notified. 

February 15

Minuteman Technical High School (7:58 a.m.) — An officer responded for a community caretaking response. 

Woods End Road (4:22 p.m.) — A resident reported sums of money being taken from their bank account.

January 23

North Great Road (3:36 p.m.) — A motor vehicle slid off of the road due to the snowy conditions. A National Park Ranger assisted until a tow truck could remove the vehicle.

Cambridge Turnpike eastbound (3:46 p.m.) — A passing motorist reported a vehicle had slid off the road due to the snowy conditions. The Lincoln Fire Department and Massachusetts State Police responded.

Hartwell lot, North Great Road (4:03 p.m.) — A motorist had parked to make arrangements to have their damaged vehicle removed from the lot. The motorist was involved in a crash on Route 95.

Red Barn Road, Wayland (7:23 p.m.) — Wayland Police requested assistance from the Lincoln Police for an additional officer at a residence in their town.

Lincoln Road (8:49 p.m.) — The MBTA called to notify police that the railroad gates at Lincoln Road were malfunctioning. An officer responded and awaited a Keolis representative. The gates were functioning normally approximately 15 minutes later.

Minuteman Commons (9:54 p.m. — A motorist called to state that it appeared a snow removal company was depositing snow in the roadway. An officer responded and found the roadway clear.

January 24

Partridge Lane (2:49 a.m.) — A private plow truck became stuck in a driveway while attempting to clear a driveway. A tow truck was called to assist.

January 25

Donelan’s Supermarket lot (12:23 p.m.) — An officer assisted with information exchange after a minor motor vehicle crash.

Tracey’s Corner (1:23 p.m.) — Well-being check; contact was made with the individual in question and relayed to the caller.

Lexington Road (10:26 p.m.) — Officers responded to the residence for the report of a housebreak. The investigation is ongoing.

Bypass Road (10:53 p.m.) — A resident called to report hearing a loud bang outside of the residence. Officers responded and checked the property. Nothing was found out of the ordinary and no noise occurred while they were on scene.

January 26

Tower Road (3:18 pm.) — A caller reported hearing what sounded like several gunshots and a vehicle accelerating. Officers checked the area; no vehicle or signs of discharge of a firearm were found.

Tracey’s Corner (5:00 p.m.) — Well-being check.

North Great Road (5:10 p.m.) — A motorist reported striking a deer, which ran off into the woods. There was no damage to the vehicle.

Bedford Road and Route 2 (10:25 p.m.) — A two-vehicle crash was reported at the intersection. A vehicle had stopped at the light awaiting the signal to change when they were struck by a vehicle that could not properly negotiate the turn from Route 2 onto Bedford Road. The operator of the turning vehicle was cited for a marked lanes violation. No injuries; both vehicles were towed from the scene.

January 27

Lincoln Road (6:50 p.m.) — A caller reported seeing an encounter between two others that was unnerving. Officers responded and spoke with the caller.

Lexington Road (11:25 p.m.) — A caller reported several vehicles honking their horns and travelling at high speed on Lexington Road. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate any vehicles.

January 28

Care Dimensions, Winter Street (7:40 a.m.) — A caller reported parking their vehicle overnight and discovering damage to the vehicle in the morning. An officer responded to assist.

Harvest Circle (1:35 p.m.) — An officer took a report regarding a dispute with a co-worker.

Chennault Street, Hanscom AFB (3:56 p.m.) — DigSafe reported a water main break. Hanscom Security Forces were notified.

January 29

Trapelo Road (9:06 a.m.) — Waltham police requested assistance with an individual seen walking on Trapelo Road. The call was cancelled a short time later; the individual was picked up by staff of a group home.

Mount Misery lot (5:39 p.m.) — A caller reported being lost at Mt. Misery and emerging from the trails in an unfamiliar area. An officer responded and transported them back to their vehicle.

January 30

Lexington Road (7:50 a.m.) — A caller reported seeing smoke in the area. The Fire Department checked; the smoke appeared to be a hotspot from a previous brush burn and the area was extinguished.

Lincoln Road (8:45 a.m.) — Well-being check.

Mount Misery lot (2:04 p.m.) — The Fire Department responded for a dog that was locked in a vehicle. Firefighters were able to unlock the vehicle.

Baker Bridge Road (9:32 p.m.) — A resident reported being the victim of identity fraud.

January 31

South Great Road (12:11 a.m.) — A caller reported hearing what they thought was someone inside their home. An officer responded; the noise was coming from an electronic device.

Lincoln North office building (3:38 a.m.) — An officer checked on an occupied vehicle in the parking lot. The occupant was an employee of the building.

South Great Road (8:04 a.m.) — Several 911 calls were made for a one-car crash near Bowles Terrace. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle that was upside down, a severed utility pole, and electrical wires on the roadway. The operator of the vehicle refused medical attention on scene and was issued a motor vehicle citation for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating after suspended license, marked lanes violation, and speed greater than reasonable. 

Minuteman Technical High School (10:48 a.m.) — Minor motor vehicle crash in the parking lot of the high school.

Lincoln Road (5:15 p.m.) — A lost wallet was reunited with its owner.

Silver Birch Lane (7:33 p.m.) — A resident called the police regarding a neighbor’s dog barking. An officer checked the area and heard nothing.

February 1

Storey Drive (2:04 a.m.) — An officer responded to the area for a parking complaint.

Aspen Circle (2:53 a.m.) — An officer assisted a resident with a well-being check.

Beaver Pond Road (8:04 a.m.) — A caller reported a strong odor of natural gas in the area. The Fire Department deployed a meter to check the area but did not find a measurable amount of natural gas.

Mayflower Road (10:06 a.m.) — Hanscom AFB requested a mutual-aid engine for a possible house fire.

Lincoln Road (10:14 a.m.) — A caller reported a minor motor vehicle crash. An officer responded and assisted.

Hanscom Drive (11:08 a.m.) — The Fire Department was alerted to a plane having difficulty. The plane landed safely.

Wells Road (11:37 a.m.) — Well-being check.

Farrar Road (4:07 p.m.) — An officer assisted the Roadside & Traffic Committee.

Concord Road (10:36 a.m.) — A resident reported possibly being scammed via phone. An officer responded to the residence.

Cerulean Way (11:29 a.m.) — An officer responded to the residence to assist with a civil matter.

January 15

Lincoln Road (1:30 a.m.) — Report of the railroad gates remaining in the down position for an extended period of time. The MBTA was notified and a Keolis representative responded to the scene.

January 17

Baker Bridge Road (12:04 p.m.) — A dog was found in the area of Baker Bridge Road. Its owner was located a short time later.

Concord Turnpike (3:33 p.m.) — An injured deer was reported to be on or near the Route 2 roadway. Massachusetts State Police were notified.

Lincoln Road (4:46 p.m.) — A caller reported a dog on the run in the area of the Lincoln-Wayland town line. Animal Control was notified.

Stratford Way (6:58 p.m.) — A resident requested assistance from the police.

January 18

Minuteman High School (10:03 a.m.) — Police were called to take a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle.

Lincoln Road (11:34 a.m.) — Multiple motorists called to report that the Lincoln Road railroad gates stuck in the down position. An officer responded; a Keolis representative was on scene addressing the issue. The gates were reported down for approximately four minutes.

Liberty Lane (4:48 p.m.) — An officer served court paperwork.

January 19

Lincoln Road (9:16 a.m.) — Multiple motorists called to report that the Lincoln Road railroad gates stuck in the down position. An officer was dispatched to the area. At approximately 10:17 a.m., a Keolis representative was on scene. The gates had returned to normal function.

January 20

Tower Road (3:44 a.m.) — A caller reported hearing a loud crashing sound, possibly a tree falling. An officer checked the area and found nothing blocking any roadways or obvious damage to structures in the area.

Lincoln Road (9:29 a.m.) — Several callers reported that the Lincoln Road railroad gates stuck in the down position for approximately 15 minutes with no train activity. The MBTA was notified

South Great Road (10:38 a.m.) — Two-vehicle crash at the intersection with Lincoln Road.

Page Road (11:40 a.m.) — A motorist reported being in a single-vehicle crash with airbag deployment. Police and fire units were dispatched to the scene. The vehicle was towed; driver refused transport to a hospital.

Donelan’s Supermarket (2:47 p.m.) — The store manager called to report an individual who was banned from entry was outside the main entrance bothering customers trying to enter. Police arrived and served the individual with a trespass notice.

Liberty Lane (4:15 p.m.) — Lincoln police assisted Westwood police with serving court paperwork.

Wells Road (5:33 p.m.) — A caller requested assistance in contacting a family member who was not answering the phone. Contact was subsequently made.

Police log for January 1-11, 2023

January 12, 2023

January 1

Cambridge Turnpike westbound (1:29 a.m.) — An officer checked on a motor vehicle parked on the side of the highway. The operator had briefly pulled over and was on their way.

January 2

Tower Road (7:15 a.m.) — A resident detected the odor of natural gas outside of their residence. The Fire Department responded and checked the area with a gas meter, which did not register anything out of the ordinary. National Grid was notified.

Tower Road (9:25 a.m.) — A resident asked to speak to an officer regarding some home security images.

Moccasin Hill (10:20 a.m.) — A resident requested assistance with a raccoon observed close to their home. Animal Control was notified.

South Great Road (11:23 a.m.) — Several phone calls came in reporting a single motor vehicle crash in the area of 297 South Great Road. Police and fire units responded to the scene. The single occupant of the vehicle appeared to be uninjured; the the vehicle was towed.

DeCordova Museum (2:46 p.m.) — An officer responded to the museum for a parking complaint. The owner of a vehicle blocking another was told to move their vehicle.

January 3

Bank of America, Lincoln Road (3:57 a.m.) — An officer checked on an occupied motor vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was an employee of a business at the mall.

Tower Road (11:08 a.m.) — An officer was asked to respond to the residence for unspecified suspicious circumstances.

Cambridge Turnpike eastbound (11:26 a.m.) — An officer observed a vehicle parked on the shoulder of Route 2. The operator had pulled over to use their phone.

Concord Road (11:52 a.m.) —A resident requested assistance after they lost the phone connection with another family member. The other person was fine; there was an issue with the phone lines.

Concord Road (12:40 p.m.) — A caller reported a transformer was smoking after a limb made contact with the wires. The Fire Department and Eversource were notified and responded.

North Great Road (4:40 p.m.) — A two-vehicle crash was reported at the intersection with Hanscom Drive. Both operators were transported to area hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. One of the operators was cited for failing to stop at the intersection.

Wells Road (5:55 pm.) — A resident requested assistance from police with checking on a family member. Contact was made and everyone was fine.

January 4

Hemlock Circle (10:23 a.m.) — A caller reported possible banking fraud. An officer responded and an investigation is ongoing.

Trapelo Road (2:41 p.m.) — An officer was asked to see if an individual required assistance. None was necessary and the individual went on their way.

January 5

South Great Road (1:52 p.m.) — A person came to the police station to report a possible stolen credit card.

South Commons (2:31 p.m.) — A resident reported possible vandalism to the exterior of their residence.

Lowden Sav-a-tree, Lewis Street (1:52 p.m.) — Police received a call about a burst pipe on the exterior of a building. The Fire Department and utilities were notified.

Wells Road (2:45 p.m.) — A resident wanted to speak to an officer regarding a lost/stolen item.

South Great Road (3:10 p.m.) — A resident called to report items either missing or stolen. A police office responded and spoke with the resident.

January 9

South Great Road (3:54 p.m.) — A caller reported an individual retrieving something from a mailbox. The individual was a resident.

Lincoln Road (5:38 p.m.) — A well-being check was requested from an outside agency. All individuals were OK.

Lincoln Road (7:59 p.m.) — A caller reported seeing what they thought was smoke coming from an occupied residence. The smoke was actually steam from a vent.

Tower Road (4:23 p.m.) — A caller reported their child had not checked in with an after-school program. The child was located and returned to their parent.

January 11

Lincoln Road (12:36 a.m.) — An officer checked on a vehicle parked at the mall. The vehicle was occupied by an employee of Twisted Tree.

Due to the storm with high winds, utility wires and/or branches reported down on Old Sudbury Road (8:17 a.m.), South Great Road (8:3 a.m. and 10:01 a.m.), Old Concord Road (8:57 a.m.), Trapelo Road (4:33 p.m.), Lexington Road (4:49 p.m.), Lincoln Road (4:49 p.m. and 5:08 p.m.), Lewis Street (5:11 p.m.), Upland Field Road (5:19 p.m.), Weston Road (6:09 p.m. and 6:48 p.m.), Tower Road (7:00 p.m. and 9:46 p.m.), Laurel Drive (7:15 p.m.), Old Bedford Road (7:21 p.m.), Conant Road (8:48 p.m.).

South Great Road (8:42 a.m.) — Caller reported the railroad gates were stuck down. Officers responded and asked Keolis to respond, which they did about 30 minutes later.

Old Sudbury Road (11:54 a.m.) — Caller reported the railroad gates were stuck down. Officer responded and Keolis was on the scene.

North Great Road (5:40 p.m.) — Weston Police Department called asking Lincoln officers to check Route 117 for a missing person from their town with dementia. Weston police later called back and said the party was located in their town.

December 24

South Great Road (3:55 a.m.) — An officer came across a vehicle that had struck the guardrail on Route 117 near the railroad tracks. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Sandy Pond Road (2:27 p.m.) — Caller reported some jewelry missing from their house. They later located the items.

Lincoln Road (9:00 p.m.) — Two-car crash near 100 Lincoln Rd. Police and Fire Department responded. No injuries; vehicles towed from the scene.

December 25

Stratford Way (5:08 a.m.) — Officer responded to a breaking-and-entering in progress at the residence. Officers located signs of the break and requested assistance from officers from Mass. State Police (K9), Waltham, and Concord Police Departments. The area was checked but no suspects were located. An investigation is ongoing.

Sandy Pond Road (10:05 a.m.) — Caller reported an odor of natural gas in the home. The Fire Department responded and found readings from a hot water heater. The gas was shut off and National Grid was contacted.

Stratford Way (1:49 p.m.) — Report of a possible water main break on the property. The Water Department was notified.

Huckleberry Hill (5:38 p.m.) and Stratford Way (9:09 p.m.) — An officer conducted a canvass of the area related to the attempted burglary on Stratford Way.

December 26

Indian Camp Lane (7:46 a.m.) — Caller reported their smoke detector was going off, maybe due to a low battery, but they couldn’t reach it. The Fire Department responded to assist.

Stratford Way (1:52 p.m.) — Caller reported a suspicious person walking in the area. An officer responded but was unable to locate the person.

Wells Road (4:19 p.m.) — Caller reported no heat in the entire building. The Fire Department responded and confirmed that maintenance staff were aware and working on fixing the problem. There was another call at 5:03 p.m. reporting that there was still no heat in the building. Dispatch spoke with maintenance staff who were on the scene fixing the issue. The Fire Department also assisted maintenance staff.

South Great Road (8:59 p.m.) — Report of a vehicle on the railroad tracks. An officer responded but nothing was found.

December 27

South Great Road (3:25 a.m.) — Officer reported the traffic lights at Route 117 and Route 126 were malfunctioning. The DPW was notified.

South Great Road (5:57 p.m.) — A walk-in to the station asked the Water Department to be notified as they need to shut water off to the house due to a leak. The Fire Department assisted the person and notified the Water Department.

December 28

South Great Road (6:27 p.m.) — A resident requested assistance because they could not shut their stove off. The Fire Department responded to assist.

Tower Road (7:25 p.m.) — Caller reported seeing someone on the property via their security cameras. An officer responded; it was an oil company employee who was there to service the furnace.

Lincoln Street, Lexington (10:29 p.m.) — An officer responded to assist Lexington police with searching for a burglary suspect.

December 29

Hartwell Avenue, Lexington (1:40 a.m.) — Lexington police requested a Lincoln officer to shut down Bedford Street t at Hartwell Avenue due to a serious vehicle crash.

Todd Pond Road (8:49 a.m.) — A caller asked an officer to stand by in order to keep the peace while they picked up belongings from a residence.

Location not given (11:55 a.m.) — Caller reported being bitten by two boxers while out for a walk. Animal Control was notified.

Old Concord Road (3:32 p.m.) — Called asked to speak to an officer regarding a court order.

Laurel Drive (4:25 p.m.) — A person turned in a firearm to be destroyed

Concord Road (6:45 p.m.) — Caller reported their horse ran off from their trailer on near Marconi’s Auto. Another resident called to report that the horse was in the yard of 96 Concord Rd. An officer responded and the owner was advised as to the location of the horse.

Old Concord Road (6:20 p.m.) — Caller reported receiving a call from an acquaintance who was making suicidal threats over the phone. The person was tracked to Dedham where Dedham police intervened with a well-being check.

Farrar Road (8:03 p.m.) — Caller reported that their vehicle was clipped by a passing vehicle who left the scene. An officer responded and found some minor debris in the roadway.

December 30

Birchwood Lane (7:24 a.m.) — Fire Department responding to a smoke detector activation found a problem with the detector. Maintenance was notified.

South Great Road (10:58 a.m.) — Caller reported seeing a deer with an injured leg in their driveway. An officer responded and the deer ran off.

Mary’s Way (1:01 p.m.) — Caller requesting a well-being check on a resident. An officer responded and everything was fine.

Old Cambridge Turnpike (1:46 p.m.) — Caller asked an officer to respond regarding a civil matter involving custody of a cat. An officer responded and advised the parties that the matter was civil in nature.

December 31

Wells Road (6:35 p.m.) — Caller reported hearing gunshots in the area. Officers checked but nothing was found.

Old Concord Road (6:50 p.m.) — A person came to the station to report their checkbook was missing.

December 13

Tower Road (4:15 a.m.) — Caller reported hearing a dog barking in the area. An officer located the log, which was inside a house. The officer contacted the owner and advised them of the complaint.

December 14

South Commons (4:26 p.m.) — Caller reported a car driving around the complex and the operator stopped and said something to kids playing in a common area. Officers checked the area but were unable to located. Officers reviewed video footage in the area and it was apparently a delivery driver.

Mary’s Way (6:01 p.m.) — Resident called the station to speak with an officer regarding a civil matter. An officer provided their legal options.

South Great Road (7:38 p.m.) — Resident called regarding a scam phone call stating they had a warrant for their arrest.

December 15

Virginia Road (9:21 a.m.) — Caller reported protesters blocking traffic and not letting them get to Hanscom Air Force Base. State Police at Hanscom are handling the matter.

Hemlock Circle (10:00 a..) — Report of people skating on Farrar Pond. An officer checked and spoke to the parties and their parents.

Scott Circle (2:09 p.m.) — Caller wanted to file a report of personal items that went missing during a move from Tennessee to Hanscom. An officer took a report.

Donelan’s lot (5:22 p.m.) — Caller reported a minor motor vehicle crash and that one of the parties had left the scene. An officer spoke to the party who left the scene as well as the owner of the other car.

December 16

Sandy Pond Road (3:04 p.m.) — One-car crash; vehicle towed.

Twin Pond Lane (6:47 p.m.) — Resident came to the station to report their home phone was not working and they don’t have a cell phone. Dispatch contacted the phone company, who will respond in the morning to assist the resident

December 17

Meadowbrook Road (10:03 a.m.) — Caller reported someone hit their mailbox and drove off. An officer responded and took a report.

Lincoln Road (2:59 p.m.) — Officer helped get someone into their vehicle.

Tracey’s Gas Station (4:58 p.m.) — Caller reported they’re in the lot of Tracey’s with a flat tire and don’t know the address to provide AAA. Address given and an officer went by to check on the party.

Browning Lane (8:12 p.m.) — Caller reported being harassed by a person while at school in Boston. An officer spoke to the party and gave them their legal options, and advised them to contact the college police department to make they aware.

December 18

Orchard Lane (9:06 a.m.) — Westford police asked that a officer make contact with a Lincoln resident who was involved in a crash in their town. Several attempts were unsuccessful.

Wells Road (2:09 p.m.) — Resident reported someone known to them threw rocks through their car window. An officer when and took a report and will be filing for a court summons for malicious destruction of property.

North Great Road (6:13 p.m.) — Caller reported a cooler in the roadway. An officer responded to remove the item and dispose of it.

South Great Road (7:32 p.m.) — Officer checked on a party pulled to the side of the roadway. They were programming their GPS.

December 19

Old Concord Road (12:00 p.m.) — Caller reported that a package was taken from the bank of mailboxes.

Lincoln Road (2:29 p.m.) — Minor crash in the Donelan’s lot.

Tabor Hill Road (6:47 p.m.) — Officer responded to a burglar alarm and discovered a burglary. Several police agencies helped search the area but were unable to locate any suspects. An investigation is ongoing.

Cambridge Turnpike eastbound (9:31 p.m.) — Crash near Bedford Road. State police on the scene requested an ambulance but the patient refused transport to the hospital.

Wells Road (11:47 p.m.) — Caller reported that someone they didn’t know was walking around the property. An officer checked but was unable to locate anyone.

AID TO PUBLIC Dec 20, 2022 – Tuesday at 08:15 22-12-20-010031- Party came to the station regarding a civil matter. An officer spoke to the party and provided them their legal options.

Russett Court (3:44 p.m.) — Minor two-car crash; no injuries.

Longmeadow Road (9:39 p.m.) — Caller reported that a package was stolen from their doorstep.

Silver Birch Lane (9:43 p.m.) — Caller reported their neighbor’s dog was barking. An officer responded and no barking was heard.

Tower Road (11:43 p.m.) — Caller wanted to speak to an officer regarding a civil matter. An officer responded and spoke to the resident and advised them that the information would be documented.

December 21

Weston Road (7:52 a.m.) — Caller reported two loose dogs.

Round Hill Road (10:21 a.m.) — Caller reported a suspicious vehicle had been parked on the roadway the previous night. The car was no longer there when an officer checked.

Transfer station (12:41 p.m.) — Fire Department assisted a person who was locked out of their vehicle.

Wells Road (12:54 p.m.) — Caller asked to speak to an officer regarding a neighbor dispute. An officer responded; the matter is civil in nature.

December 22

Paul Revere lot, North Great Road (3:26 a.m.) — Officer checkied on a vehicle parked in the lot. Everything was fine and the parties went on their way.

Wells Road (3:55 p.m.) — A person came to the station saying they were threatened on social media and wanted police to document the incident.

South Great Road (5:12 p.m.) — Two-car crash; no injuries.

November 22

Trapelo Road (3:49 a.m.) — Officer reported striking a deer on patrol. No damage to the cruiser; the deer ran off into the woods.

Sunnyside Lane (5:20 p.m.) — A well-being check was requested for a resident who hadn’t been heard from for some time. An officer performed the check and the resident was fine.

November 23

South Great Road (10:46 a.m.) — Two-car rear-end crash near the intersection with Route 126; minor damage, no injuries.

Tower Road (2:49 p.m.) — Police were called to the residence to assist with an ongoing matter. Once the situation was quelled, all parties went on their way.

Lincoln School (4:44 p.m.) — A dog was seen running loose on school property in close proximity to Magic Garden. An officer stood by until the dog cleared from the area.

November 24

Silver Birch Lane (11:15 p.m.) — An officer was asked to respond to the area for a noise complaint. Upon arrival, faint music could be heard but ceased after the officer arrived.

November 25

Sunnyside Lane (12:11 p.m.) — A resident requested assistance in retrieving their dog that had gotten loose from their yard, but the dog returned prior to the officer’s arrival.

Old Concord Road (4:09 p.m.) — A resident reported discovering a dead deer in their yard. They were given contact information for a service that could dispose of the animal.

November 26 and 27

November 28

North Great Road (10:19 a.m.) — A motorist reported discovering a dead deer close to the roadway. The motorist was given the contact information for Animal Control.

Trapelo Road (5:49p.m.) — A caller reported an injured deer on Trapelo Road. An officer responded and had to put the animal down. The Highway Department removed the deceased animal.

November 29

South Great Road (7:46 a.m.) — A 2021 Ford pickup truck eastbound at low speed was struck from behind by a 2012 Toyota RAV4. The Toyota was towed from the scene and the operator was transported to Emerson Hospital for neck and back pain.

Concord Road (4:57 p.m.) — A resident reported receiving unwanted FaceTime calls from an unknown individual.

Huckleberry Hill (5:12 p.m.) — An officer spoke to a resident about a possible hit-and-run that occurred on Lincoln Road. Investigation ongoing.

November 30

Cerulean Way (1:20 a.m.) — A resident reported a suspicious vehicle parked alongside the roadway for approximately one hour. An officer spoke to the operator of the vehicle and confirmed it was a resident who was waiting for a friend.

Lincoln Road (2:24 a.m.) — An officer checked on an occupied vehicle parked at the mall. The vehicle was sent on its way.

Lincoln Road (10:21 a.m.) — A well-being check was requested for a resident who had not been heard from for several days. An officer spoke to the resident, who was not home at the time.

Virginia Road (12:27 p.m.) — An officer checked on a motor vehicle that had been parked for approximately one month.

Public Safety Building (1:54 p.m.) — A resident came to the police station to report a possible fraud.

December 1

Old Concord Road (12:34 p.m. and 2:58 p.m.) — Residents of two different homes reported stolen packages from their mailbox. A report was issued and an investigation is ongoing. Lincoln Police reported that other towns are investigating similar activity. Residents are encouraged to monitor their deliveries and contact the police if they observe any suspicious activity.

Lincoln Road (4:54 p.m.) — A dead deer was found in the area of Mackintosh Lane. The DPW was notified.

November 14

Codman Community Farms (1:58 p.m.) — Codman Farm reported a party went into the farm store and took food without paying. An officer followed up and identified the involved party. The party returned and paid for the items.

Tower Road (5:06 p.m.) — Resident called to report that their son was supposed to be on the way home in an Uber and they can’t track them. An officer contacted the resident, who was then able to contact the son.

South Great Road (5:59 p.m.) — Concord police reported a vehicle now in their town was involved in a crash in Lincoln on Route 117 involving a deer. An officer responded and took a report. No sign of the deer in the roadway.

Liberty Lane (7:07 p.m.) — A party came to the station requesting civil fingerprints.

November 15

Old Sudbury Road (3:15 a.m.) — Caller reported the railroad gates were stuck down. An officer responded; crews were working and the gates were back up.

November 16

Cambridge Turnpike westbound (7:58 a.m.) — Caller reported being involved in a crash on Route 2 near Lexington Road. State police were on the scene handling.

Old Sudbury Road (8:29 a.m.) — Caller reported that someone struck a Black Lives Matters sign that was in front of their house along the roadway the previous night.

Old Sudbury Road (2:24 p.m.) — A Wayland resident reported that the railroad gates were stuck down at Old Sudbury Road. An officer responded to the area; the gates were up.

South Great Road (2:4 p.m.) — Caller reported their dog was missing in the area of Route 117 and Old Sudbury Road. Animal Control was notified.

North Great Road (4:38 p.m.) — Caller reported a wounded deer on the side of the road. An officer checked but was unable to locate it.

Mary’s Way (6:15 p.m.) — Report of a vehicle pulled to the side of the road, possibly broken down. An officer checked; the party was OK and on their way.

Bypass Road (6:56 p.m.) — Report of an injured deer near the Concord town line. An officer located the deer and dispatched it. MassDOT was notified to remove the carcass.

Trapelo Road (10:02 p.m.) — Caller requested a well-being check on the resident. An officer responded and everything was fine. The resident advised to contact the reporting party.

November 17

Lexington Road (7:18 a.m.) — Caller reported a dog showed up on their property. Animal Control was notified.

Harvest Circle (12:02 p.m.) — A staff member at The Commons called to report that a confused party walked into the facility. An officer responded and spoke to a family member and made arrangements for the person to get a ride to the family member’s house.

November 18

Wells Road (10:36 p.m.) — A party came to station reporting their daughter was missing. While in the station, the daughter called; everything was fine.

November 19

Lincoln Road (4:40 p.m.) — A person brought a purse into the station that they’d found. The owner was contacted and came to pick it up.

November 20

Virginia Road (5:04 p.m.) — Caller reported that their dog was missing. Animal Control was notified.

Silver Birch Lane (7:51 p.m.) — Caller reported that their neighbor’s dog was barking. An officer responded and everything was quiet.

North Great Road (8:29 p.m.) — Lexington police called requesting a check along Route 2A for a missing person with dementia. They later called back when the person was located.

November 21

Silver Hill Road (8:02 p.m.) — Caller reported they found a dog along the side of the road. An officer responded and the owner was notified to pick up the dog.

Morningside Lane (8:48 a.m.) — Caller wanted to speak to an officer regarding losing their driver’s license. An officer spoke to them and took a report.

Windingwood Lane (10:54 a.m.) — A party came to the station regarding a civil matter with a contractor.

Bank of America, Lincoln Road — Report of an odor of gas. Fire Department responded and vented the area. A burner was left on at the restaurant, causing the odor.

South Great Road (12:36 p.m.) — Caller reported the railroad gates were malfunctioning. An officer responded; the gates were up.
