deCordova events around “Chromatic Portals” 

Create crocheted coral reefs inspired by the deCordova Sculpture Park’s new installation by Silvia López Chavez, “Chromatic Portals,” on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 1:00-3:00pm. Cost: $48 for members, $60 for nonmembers. Learn more and register here. On Sunday, Sept. 27, from 2:00-4:00pm, there will be a dance performance by Mar Parrilla inspired by the artwork. Sculptor hosts open studio

Lincoln artist Farley Sullivan is one of five New England Sculptors Association artists who will open their studios to visitors on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 11:00am-4:00pm. Her studio is at 91 Weston Road in Lincoln.

Register for the Scarecrow Classic 5K

Registration is now open for the Lincoln Land Conservation Trust’s 14th annual Scarecrow Classic 5K Road/Trail Race on Sunday, Oct. 18. Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome. After the race, stick around for cider donuts at the finish line and our runner raffle featuring prizes from local businesses and outdoor brands. Proceeds from the event support LLCT’s work protecting and stewarding conservation land, maintaining public trails, and providing environmental education and community programs.
