Dominick “Jim” Arena of Hudson, police and fire chief in Lincoln from 1976–1994, died on March 3 at age 89. He began his career with the Massachusetts State Police in Walpole and later served as the chief of police in Essex Junction, Vt., Edgartown, Mass., and Lincoln, where he also served as the fire chief.
