The Lincoln Cultural Council is accepting applications for grants for the coming year. The deadline for applying is Oct. 15, 2014. For information on Lincoln grant guidelines and application forms, see the MCC’s page for Lincoln.
The Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) distributes funds to local and regional cultural councils including the LCC, who then re-grant funds to arts, humanities, and interpretive science projects in their own communities. This year, the Lincoln council will distribute a total of $4,300.

“Harmony in Lincoln” by the New Sound Assembly Chorus – a musical presentation at Bemis Hall.
Birches School
Silk Road Workshop and Concert
Two core members of Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project performed and led a vibrant discussion about music.
Historic New England – Codman Estate
Codman Estate Lecture Series:
- The general history of blue and white porcelain from Holland and Asia
- Ogden Codman Jr.’s contribution and influence in early 20th-century interior design movements, Colonial Revival, and historic preservation
- Letters between Ogden Codman Jr. and Edith Wharton
- As part of the 100th anniversary of World War I, a lecture on the Codman family’s Lincoln home front contributions
Lincoln Land Conservation Trust
“Naturally Curious” – a talk by naturalist, author and photographer Mary Holland.
Lincoln PTO
Yale’s Society of Orpheus and Bacchus Concert – a performance by an a cappella group for Lincoln School stuents in grades 2-5.
