Dems announce two more candidate forums for statewide offices

March 29, 2014

donkeyThe Lincoln Democratic Town Committee (DTC) will host a forum with candidates for lieutenant governor on April 5 in Bemis Hall and a forum for attorney general and state treasurer on May 10. All five lieutenant governor candidates have indicated they will attend: Stephen Kerrigan, Mike Lake, Jonathan Edwards, Leland Cheung, and James Arena-DeRosa.

The forums offer be a rare opportunity to see and hear all the candidates define their qualifications and their reason for running, as well as describe what they believe are the critical issues facing the Commonwealth and how the roles of the offices they are seeking can address those issues.

In the third and final segment of its inaugural forum series, the Lincoln Democratic Town Committee will host a forum for attorney general and state treasurer candidates on May 10 at Bemis Hall. Both attorney general candidates (Maura Healey and Warren Tolman) and all three state treasurer candidates (Tom Conroy, Barry Finegold and Deborah Goldberg) who have formally announced their candidacy have said they will attend.

For both forums, a social period with refreshments will start at 1:30 p.m. and the forum will start at 2 p.m. Parking is available at the First Parish Stone Church across the street.

This forum series is co-sponsored by the 3rd Middlesex Area Democrats that is comprised of our neighboring towns of Chelmsford, Carlisle, Concord, Bedford, Lexington, Sudbury, Weston, Wayland and Waltham. For more information, contact Lincoln DTC chair Gary Davis at garyddavis04@gmail.com.
