As Lincoln ushers in a new academic year, school and town panels are scheduling their first meetings after the summer respite, starting with the School Building Advisory Committee (SBAC) on Tuesday night.
The Lincoln School Building Advisory Committee (SBAC) will meet Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. to hear from both the “L-Shape” and “Repair Only” subgroups in preparation for an informal SBAC charette on September 11 from 6-11 p.m. Meanwhile, the School Committee will reconvene on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. All three meetings will be held in the Hartwell Multipurpose Room.
The Board of Selectmen will hold its first meeting of the fall on September 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Office Building. The agenda will be available on the Board of Selectmen web page.
Although the SBAC charette is open to the public and all are welcome, this is not a town-wide charette like the ones held earlier in the year. The purpose of the event is to provide the SBAC, as part of its planning and deliberative process, with the opportunity to further develop, sharpen and test its ideas about possible pathways for renovation or new construction at the Lincoln School.
Minutes of the SBAC’s five meetings starting on June 18 are available on the School Committee website.
