Vicki Croke, author of Elephant Company: The Inspiring Story of an Unlikely Hero and the Animals Who Helped Him Save Lives in World War II, will make a presentation with archival photos and video on Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Walden Woods Project at 44 Baker Farm Rd. in Lincoln. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. for a wine and cheese reception, and the presentation will begin at 7 p.m. This event is generously sponsored by The Commons in Lincoln. Lincoln resident AJ Fripp will be reading her recently published children’s picture book, Paco’s Dreams, at the Lincoln Library on November 9 at 11 a.m. Paco’s Dreams is a wholesome, whimsical story about Paco, the Spanish Water Dog, and his nighttime adventures, and is beautifully illustrated by Havalah Racette. Learn more at pacosdreams.com. Fripp wrote Paco’s Dreams while she participated in The Write Stuff, Lincoln’s own writing group, and based the story on her dog Paco.
