My best guess is that it is a young deer. Although I prefer the previous two identifications.

We saw this same animal last spring on Tower Road — it was drinking out of the bird bath at the Green’s (old) house!

Looks like a juvenile corgi-wolf. Nice sighting! Very rare.

It’s a mule fox, bred by early Lincolnites to catch farm vermin and also pull carts of farm produce to market.
