Dear Alice Waugh – Although I’ve lived here forever – almost! – I am not really familiar with the squirrel, and I don’t (yet?) know you, I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I’m the caregiver for my husband – Alzheimer’s, dates back to Feb 2009 –
and I’m living every day with the awareness that I am losing him. That makes me even
more painfully aware of what it means to lose someone close to you.
