To the editor:
The Town of Lincoln Events Subcommittee is pleased to announce that this year’s 4th of July parade marshal will be none other than retiring Lincoln Police Chief Kevin Mooney.
Chief Mooney has spent almost his entire career in Lincoln, serving for a total of 35 years. He has served almost every position in the department and was named chief in 2003. Chief Mooney has been a strong leader of the Police Department, and is well respected by the officers in and out of town.
The Mooney family is special to our community because, even as Kevin served in our Police Department, his wife worked in the Lincoln School and their daughters attended them. It is safe to say they are a part of the Lincoln family.
The Committee would like to honor everything that Chief Mooney has done for the town with this distinguished role in our parade, and we encourage residents to join us at the parade on July 4th and wish him well on the next chapter in his life!
Sincerely,
The 2014 Events Subcommittee Parade Crew:
Maggie Dwyer
Michela Eckhouse
Sam Kupperstein
Riley McCabe
Eve Montie
