Celebrate National Dairy Month by visiting Drumlin Farm for our Dairy Day festival taking place Sunday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our barns will be open on this special day for up-close access to our favorite dairy animals and the tasty treats they help us produce. Festival highlights include:

VESTA’s mobile wood-fired pizza truck will be on hand to provide tasty picnic lunch options for purchase. And of course there will be plenty of local ice cream to enjoy; come dressed as your favorite dairy animal and get a free “calf cup” of ice cream. Tickets are $8 for Mass Audubon members, $10 for nonmembers, children under 2 free, and can be purchased by calling 781-259-2206 or online at www.massaudubon.org/drumlinprograms. Dairy Day takes place rain or shine.
Join the Lincoln Celebrations team
The Lincoln Celebrations team, which coordinates Lincoln’s Memorial Day and July 4th activities and the Summer Concert Series, is seeking a new teammate to join the Memorial Day leader. Together, they will coordinate the morning’s program of music, ceremony and commemoration with the new team member performing more of coordinating role next year. This critical event shapes Lincoln’s culture and its residents. Each year, it provides more than 200 residents of all ages with the time and space to consider the sacrifice of many men and women who have served our country in war, humanitarian missions, and peace. Coordination for this event happens between February and early June, so it’s great for someone looking for meaningful short-duration opportunities to serve the town. If you’re interested, please contact Lyn Spaeth at pasquarosa@aol.com.

Eco-friendly landscaping equipment presentation
Lincoln’s Leaf Blower Study Committee (LBSC) will co-host an eco-friendly landscape event on Tuesday, June 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the Pierce House. All are welcome. The event will feature a hands-on demonstration of a full line of high-performance cordless electric landscape maintenance equipment including mowers, blowers, trimmers and edgers, as well as emerging prototypes with new features. A presentation preceding the demonstration will discuss ways in which new technologies can deliver great performance, eliminate pollution, reduce noise, improve sustainability, and save money for our communities. This event is co-hosted by the Lincoln Leaf Blower Study Committee, Quiet Communities, and the Ecological Landscaping Alliance. It is posted on the town calendar. The Lincoln LBSC exists to study noise and air pollution resulting from increasing use of leaf blowers for public and private property maintenance, to research alternatives to use of leaf blowers, and to study the cost impacts of those alternatives. The June event is posted on the town calendar.
Could you drive seniors or deliver Meals on Wheels?
The Lincoln Council on Aging needs people to drive seniors to medical appointments and other essential destinations and to deliver Meals on Wheels, either regularly or as occasional substitutes. Regular drivers provide several rides on one day per month or can be on call for individual rides or days when the regular driver cannot drive. Meals on Wheels drivers pick up the meals in Concord at about 10:30 a.m. and deliver them to two to three homebound residents once or twice per month or can be on call for when the regular driver is unavailable. For more information, please talk to Carolyn at the Council on Aging at 781-259-8811. Meals on Wheels is administered by Minuteman Senior Services.
