DESCRIPTION:Fern enthusiasts Ellen and Jim Meadors return for a much-anticipated fern walk on Thursday\, May 28 from 10:00am–noon. Often overlooked\, ferns are some of the most fascinating plants in our forests. They are ancient plants that have been thriving on Earth for hundreds of millions of years and pre-date flowering plants.  \nWe’ll take a slow\, relaxed pace\, stopping often to examine different fern species up close and learn what makes them unique. Participants will leave with basic fern ID terminology\, a better eye for spotting key features\, and the tools to begin identifying ferns on their own. \nRegister here; location will be emailed to registrants. Bring water\, sun protection\, tick protection\, etc. No dogs\, please — our focus will be on nature.

His presentation will feature photographs from his upcoming book Bauhaus New England – Portraits of an Architectural Legacy that examines modernist houses connected to the Bauhaus Movement in dialogue with the New England landscape. Mark views architectural photography not just as an exercise in documentation but as a poetic exploration of built spaces and the natural environment around them. \nThe series will continue in the fall with an invitation to meet with artists to see what they see and hear what they hear\, followed by discussion and an opportunity to interpret and explore the connections which bring us together in cultural understanding.

DESCRIPTION:The Sudbury Commission on Disability invites residents of Lincoln and surrounding communities to experience cycling along the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail at a free adaptive cycling event on Saturday\, June 6. Hosted in partnership with the Sudbury Rail Trails Advisory Committee and All Out Adventures\, one-hour riding sessions will be offered between 11:00am and 3:00pm at Broadacres Farm at 62 Morse Road in Sudbury. Participants of all ages and abilities can choose from a variety of adaptive cycles\, including recumbent trikes\, handcycles\, and tandem bikes\, with trained staff on-site to provide support in a safe\, welcoming\, and inclusive environment. In 2025 they even helped fund a new lighting system in the L-S auditorium\, But continued operation depends on the next generation of music parents (especially those with current eighth-\, ninth- and tenth graders) getting more involved. State law requires registered nonprofits to maintain a minimum number of volunteers and board members.
