DESCRIPTION:The Henry Purcell Society of Boston will present an evening of music and purpose in support of families impacted by immigration detention and economic crisis on Friday\, May 22 at 7:00pm at the First Parish stone church (14 Bedford Road). The “Baroque to Broadway: A Cabaret for Community” program brings together artists from the Boston Early Music Festival\, the Metropolitan Opera\, and Broadway for a musical experience that will move from the emotional intensity and intimacy of Baroque repertoire to the storytelling power and immediacy of musical theatre\, revealing unexpected connections between these traditions. All proceeds will benefit the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project and Compassion in Action. “Pay what you want” tickets can be purchased here.
