DESCRIPTION:The Henry Purcell Society of Boston will present an evening of music and purpose in support of families impacted by immigration detention and economic crisis on Friday\, May 22 at 7:00pm at the First Parish stone church (14 Bedford Road). The “Baroque to Broadway: A Cabaret for Community” program brings together artists from the Boston Early Music Festival\, the Metropolitan Opera\, and Broadway for a musical experience that will move from the emotional intensity and intimacy of Baroque repertoire to the storytelling power and immediacy of musical theatre\, revealing unexpected connections between these traditions.
