DESCRIPTION:Visual artist and filmmaker Sky Hopinka (Ho-Chunk Nation/Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians) has been named the 2026 recipient of the Rappaport Prize by the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum. Hopinka’s Rappaport Art Prize Lecture will take place on Thursday\, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. at the deCordova. His video\, photo\, and text work centers around personal positions of Indigenous homeland and landscape\, designs of language as containers of culture expressed through personal\, documentary\, and nonfiction forms of media.
